Adam Cleevely is a knitting educator, creator, and retreat host based in Cambridge, UK.
Since picking up knitting in early 2022, he has built a warm, welcoming online community through his rapidly growing Instagram account, CleevelyKnits, where he blends entertaining sketches, thoughtful advocacy for makers, and clear, confidence-building tutorials. Adam’s humour, creativity, and down-to-earth teaching style make him a favourite among knitters looking to learn, laugh, and feel inspired.
Adam's fun and relatable approach to knitting has gained him over 100,000 followers on Instagram
and the UK's No. 1 Craft Podcast.
Alongside his online work, Adam co-hosts the Yarn Library Podcast and is passionate about creating spaces—both digital and in-person—where makers can connect deeply with craft and with one another.

Louise Drake is a craft tutor, creator, and retreat host based in North Cambridgeshire, UK.
She teaches crochet, macrame, sewing machine skills and patchwork.
With over 25 years of crafting experience and 8 years dedicated to the craft industry, Louise is a passionate creator who inspires learners of all ages. She is committed to creating positive learning environments to empower individuals to explore their creativity and enjoy their crafting journey.
Through her YouTube channel, Louise shares crafting trips, shopping hauls and items she's made with a fun, lighthearted approach.
Louise brings enthusiasm and varied knowledge to Maker Getaway retreats and approaches craft with a calm and encouraging attitude.
She will be your main point of contact both before and during your retreat.
